MY JOURNEY
I hope that you will find this short video of my journey into and out of obesity inspiring. Please feel free to visit my blog or read my book, 150 Pounds Gone Forever.
Weighing 305 pounds isn’t fun. Fourteen years ago I lost over 150 pounds and regained my life. My name is Diane Carbonell, and I would love the opportunity to help you gain control over your eating habits and have your life be enriched through proper nutrition and exercise. I didn’t have gastric bypass surgery, took no supplements, never ate weird food and didn’t even join a group.
As a wife to my husband John and mom to seven wonderful children, I know how hard it is to find time for yourself. Weight loss is possible in any amount, but the key to a successful weight loss plan is not just that you can lose weight during the plan period, but that you can maintain that loss throughout your life. As I think back on the last thirteen years, the best thing I ever did for myself and my family is to get healthy and pass that goal onto my children and to others.
There were so many times over the ten years that I was obese that I wished I could lose weight. I seemed to be continually dieting, but always ended up gaining even more weight than I had lost. The weight crept up, and my self confidence dropped. I resigned myself to being fat for the rest of my life. I tried to accept that this was how I would always be. One day I got scared for my health and my life, and made a change.
I developed a three point plan I call Fit to the Finish that worked for me, and has worked for many other people. I teach weight loss classes in my community and have seen lives change for the better after completing the 10 week program. Over the years since I lost the weight, I have been able to maintain the weight loss through four pregnancies and numerous life changes. Fit to the Finish is a realistic program that really works. Come journey through the Fit to the Finish website and see how your life can change for the better.
I was featured on the national television show, Dr. Oz. I also have blogged for him on his website!
In April 2010, you may have seen me featured inside the pages of SHAPE magazine. To read the article, click HERE. Below is a picture of me with the issue hot off the press!

I was also featured in Woman’s World Magazine!

I hope that you find my story inspiring. It’s not always an easy journey, but the end results are worth all the hard work it takes to make you a better, healthier you! Diane
