I learned how to drink coffee black! It was just a matter of slowly removing the sugar from it a little each time. Now I'm trying to do the same with yogurt. I buy the plain stuff and add a few drops of stevia to it. Trying to reduce the number of drops!

Yes, definitely. I guess it is mostly I notice how different foods make me feel moreso. I am eating healthier, so I feel better. I am an equal opportunity eater, though. There really isn't anything I won't try, except maybe bugs. ;) I love brussel sprouts, by the way. Use a bit of balsamic vinegar on them, and they are a sure winner. :)

It's funny how much I identified with today's blog. Chocolate was my best friend! I craved it so much and never seemed to feel I could get enough of it. I loved white bread with butter on it too. I could eat a whole loaf of that french bread from the grocery store. I'd be sick afterward but I'd do it anyway. Now my favorite food is vegetables. I love them so much. At first I had to put butter and lots of salt on them to get them down but now I love them plain. I also used to HATE salads and never could understand how people could go to I restaurant and order just a chicken salad for dinner! But now I love them so much. I started off only liking iceberg lettuce but now I would much rather have a red leaf or spinach salad. It's amazing how much I've changed and how much my eating energizes me now. It's amazing I had any energy at all with the way I used to eat. I still have a few healthy things I'd like to learn to embrace: tofu, eggplant and sushi.

My tastes have definitely changed, mostly because I know how crap foods make me feel-like CRAP. [Riveting, eh? ;)]

I still haven't gotten into veggies, basically because I've hated them my whole life, and I don't know how to prepare them in a way to make them taste good. :( Embarrasing, but true.

I STILL don't know what people see in Greek Yogurt. I think it's the smell/texture that gets me. Maybe I'll give it another go someday, but I need to figure out the veggie thing first. :)

I have always liked all kinds of food. I have loved "good" foods, but I also liked any other foods.

Yesterday I had a very important day at work. For me, it was a "pause day" I needed to focus on what I was doing and, for a day, I didn't thought about what I was eating. I know it's not good, but that was a very important day, such as the day you get married or something like this.

In the morning, I went to the bar and eat a croissant. Mmm... I didn't liked it so much! Then, after all the things, we prepared some food and I ate some cheese. I hadn't eat cheese for months: I always eat low fat milk, yogurts and cheese. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat what I have taken: just a little slice of cheese. I found it... fat! And I had liked before!

And in the dinner, I could had some chocolate... and I said no! Not because of the calories. Because I didn't want it!

So, I think that yes. My tastes have changed a lot!

I've always hated...HATED...brussell sprouts. Bitter little things. But Pam taught me to roast them, which you can also do to radishes, and it mysteriously and magically takes the bitterness away!! If you want to make the sprouts even better, toss them with just a little brown sugar splenda towards the end of cooking. Dwayne's mom served them this way at Thanksgiving and I just could not believe how much I enjoyed them. I raved about them so much, that she sent the leftover sprouts home with me and ate them all up! You MUST try them roasted....and give the roasted radishes a whirl too! You'll be pleasantly surprised...I promise you. :)

I still love chocolate, but usually go for the very dark kind now. No more eating an entire big bag of peanut m and m's or hershey's kisses in a day or two. I still like both of these, but rarely let myself have them. it is still hard for me to be moderate with those. For some reason, I can have a piece of dark chocolate and not have to eat the entire bar. You might want to try brussel sprouts roasted in the oven. I cut them in half and toss them with some olive oil, salt and pepper. They come out sweet and yummy. I can't stand mushy brussel sprouts and thought I hated them before trying them this way. Now I really like em...:-)

I have tried such new foods since embarking on this journey, it's been awesome. The biggest food that I hated before and love now is squash (fall and winter squash-still no summer squash!)

Well, that's hopeful. I, actually, see the same progression you listed happening with me now--sort of. Only a little on modifying favorite dishes in that I won't use fake food to substitute for things like butter and sugar and cream, but I have included many, many more servings of veggies and am finding that I do like them better than I had before. Ifeel progress. :) Deb
