I thought you guys might like to see this!
That’s me right there in the pages of SHAPE magazine! I was contacted by the editors of the magazine way back in October to be featured in the April 2010 issue of the magazine. Understandably, I was very excited!
I did a phone interview with the writer of the article and then they send a fabulous photographer, Tamara Reynolds, over to do a photo shoot. There was a lot of back and forth between the photographer, the art director and myself as to what I should wear. I would get something at the store, take a picture of me in it, and send it to them. After several different outfit possibilities, you can see that they finally decided on a pink shirt and some black running pants. Doing the shoot was a lot of fun, although by the end of the shoot I was freezing as it was done in January.
As I wrote this little post I thought about how grateful I am for all of you who read and comment. So, I’m giving away a subscription to SHAPE magazine right out of my own pocket! This is for US residents only and I will close comments at midnight tomorrow (3/23).

Shape is one of my favorite mags. I just order 2 years worth a couple of months ago but I haven’t received them yet. I’m going to have to pay full price to get this issue. Not only to see you but I love Chelsea Handler.

Way to go Diane. I subscribe to SHAPE and those real-life stories are always my favourite part things to read in the mag – they do a great job of showing folks like me that it can be done! Now when I read the April issues I can say – “hey, I kind of know her” (only through your blog, but still it’s cool).
